Resume tailoring by job description
Paste a job URL or description and ApplyBuddy rewrites your base resume around the experience that role cares about most. An edits report lists each change and the job keywords your resume now matches.
Resume Boost
Boost focuses on your base resume rather than one job's copy. Review each proposed rewrite and its projected score contribution, then choose which edits to apply. Check the result against your actual experience before using it.
Chrome extension and application autofill
The free extension detects job descriptions on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and Glassdoor, so you can request a tailored resume from the posting. Autofill uses your saved profile to fill matching form fields. Employer forms vary; review the results, complete anything missing and submit yourself.
AI cover letters
Pro generates a cover letter from the same role context as your tailored resume. You can also upload a letter you already wrote and get a free review of it.
Free salary estimate
Get an AI-generated salary range based on your resume and role context. Use it as a starting point for research, then compare it with current postings and reliable local wage data before making a salary decision.

One resume library across the web and extension
Your account connects the dashboard and Chrome extension. Keep a base resume, tailor it to a posting and use your saved profile for supported application fields without maintaining separate accounts for each step.
Autofill that never submits for you
The Chrome extension fills matching fields from your saved profile and does not click submit. Recognized work-authorization and sponsorship questions are skipped, but field detection is not a guarantee: check every answer, including sensitive questions, yourself.
Preview Boost edits before upgrading
Resume Boost shows proposed rewrites and projected score contributions for free. Applying selected edits is a Pro feature. The workflow is designed to preserve your experience, but AI can still make mistakes, so verify every claim and number.

Why I built ApplyBuddy

I'm a developer, and building things is what I love doing. When my applications stopped getting callbacks, I started looking for a better way to prepare them.
So I started using AI on my side of the process, tailoring my resume to each posting, and my results got better. I shared the prompts that worked, then kept building on them until they became ApplyBuddy.
